With so many different homeschooling programs available it is not always easy to make the right choice. When you start homeschooling you have to keep in mind that there will be certain criteria that need to be met for a child that wants to attend college or university after completing high school.
Bob Jones University is devoted to Christian teaching. If you don’t belief teaching should be connected to one specific religious conviction than Bob Jones won’t be the answer to your homeschooling needs. On the other hand, for Christian parents it can be an easy option, as most needs for homeschooling and university or college later, are already addressed in the program.

The curriculum can be obtained by parents in a few different ways.
Hard Drive
You can order a hard drive with the grade course you require pre-loaded. The courses are around $899, which includes the lease of the hard drive and all text books and notes. Some grades are cheaper than others. There are no other fees except for shipping.
DVD or Online
The hard drive option is only available up to grade 8. For grade 9-12 you will have to choose the DVD or online option. It is also available for lower grades. The online price doesn’t really differ from the hard drive price and the DVD option is a bit more expensive. The advantage of the online course is that you can work anywhere where a computer and internet access is available. The online option is the only one that has online assessment available for grades 9-12. Two electives, Bible and foreign language come at no additional cost with these two options.
After the 13 month period you paid for, the hard drive and DVD’s have to be returned, but you can keep all books and notes. You also won’t have access to online program anymore.
You don’t have to buy the entire year program. On their website bjupress.com you can buy a kit for a certain subject or other resource materials such as flip charts or test packs.
